Welcome to Tarnagulla Primary School

Nestled in the heart of our supportive community and backed by beautiful native bushland, Tarnagulla Primary School is a small yet thriving learning environment where every child is known, valued, and supported. With 21 learners, two classrooms, and a dedicated team of three education support staff, we provide a warm, personalised approach to learning that nurtures the unique strengths of every student.

Led by Principal Leigh Mellberg and Assistant Principal Janette Cobert, our school is committed to fostering a love of learning and building confident, capable, and kind individuals. Julie Martin, our MHiPS leader, plays a key role in supporting student wellbeing, ensuring all learners have the strategies they need to succeed both academically and socially.

At Tarnagulla Primary School, we live by our values:

Be a learner
Be a friend
Be safe
Be respectful

These values guide everything we do, from our daily learning to the way we interact with one another. We are proud to implement School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS), reinforcing positive behaviours that help our learners and leaders thrive.

We strive to provide a nurturing and challenging environment where students feel empowered to reach their personal best. Through rich learning experiences, strong relationships, and a focus on wellbeing, we prepare our students for a bright future while celebrating the close-knit community that makes our school so special.

We invite you to be part of our Tarnagulla Primary School family—a place where children grow, explore, and succeed together.
